Congratulations to Neilah Wilson and Ella Sheets, or the Clearfield Coders, for being the Runner Up in the 2022 Pittsburgh IT Girl Challenge. For the past 10 weeks, Ella and Neilah were paired with mentors from CGI and Pitt University to design, build and code a functioning App. The app was intended to focus on a cause that was meaningful to them. Ella and Neilah chose education as their focus and designed an App to help students “SOAR to new heights” by giving them a space to list and organize tasks that need to be accomplished as well as scheduling time to take breaks as a way to help manage stress and anxiety. The Clearfield Coders competed against 5 other teams who also designed Apps. The live judging took place on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
