The Backpack Program, which sends food home to children, got underway at the Clearfield Area Elementary School. Volunteers and school officials distributed 200 bags of food for children to take home from school. This program is an extension of the YMCA of Centre County's program to combat food insecurity, along with the Clearfield Ministerium. Lezzer Lumber spearheaded fundraiser efforts for the program.
